CERTIFICATION STATUS

The TETRA and P25 product lines are not third-party certified yet. Where a project timeline allows, we can assess the certification path, lead time and cost against your specific band, power and interface requirements. If your tender explicitly requires existing certificates, tell us and we will be straight with you about what is feasible.

OEM private-label manufacturing and ODM design are both available. Regional distribution is not currently offered.

DMR Repeaters — what the line covers

DMR is the mainstream digital replacement for analog PMR in the 350–450 MHz band, and it is the natural fit where an operator has already migrated voice but still needs indoor or tunnel coverage. Our DMR line covers the tier modes in both band-selective and channel-selective versions. Band, power, channel count and interfaces are confirmed per project rather than fixed — tell us the tier and the coverage target.

Models on this line

This line is configured per project rather than sold as fixed models. Tell us the requirement and we will confirm what we can supply.

Configured per project

DMR is within our product scope; specific models are configured per project. Share the tier, band, channel count and coverage target, and we will confirm what we can supply and what the certification path would be.

What we can confirm from the line: the bands listed above, band-selective and channel-selective variants, off-air / fibre-coupled / BTS-coupled forms, and MIMO options. Output power is set against the regulatory limit of the deployment market — China, the UK and the EU all differ.

How to read our model numbers

Every model encodes its standard, band, power tier, bandwidth type and coupling form. You do not need a lookup table to read it.

KT-{form}-{standard}-B{band}P{power}{bandwidth}[-{channels}]

Trunking (TETRA / DMR / P25 / AM / FM)

KT-{form}-{3GPP band list}{bandwidth}[-{role}][-{BD/SD}][-{SISO/2T2R}]

Cellular — the band code implies the generation, so neither standard nor power appears in the model. Bidirectional and MIMO are stated because they are different hardware.

KT-brand prefix
Aform (the subject) — Off-air (RF coupling) · Fibre-coupled (optical) · Digital fibre (SDR) …
Tstandard — T=TETRA · D=DMR · P=P25 · A=AM broadcast · M=FM broadcast
B8band — the B prefix makes the segment boundary explicit
P37power — written as the actual dBm value, never a bucket
Bbandwidth type — Band-selective / Channel-selective / …
WORKED EXAMPLE
KT-A-T-B8P37BOff-air (RF coupling) · TETRA · 800 MHz · +37 dBm · Band-selective (whole band)
CELLULAR EXAMPLE
KT-F-n28C-RU-2T2RFibre-coupled (optical) · 700 MHz APT (FDD) · Channel-selective (single channel) · Remote unit · 2T2R (2 transmit / 2 receive)

No standard code and no power figure: the band codes give the generations (n28 = 5G NR) and output power is set per project against the regulatory limit for that market. Bidirectional (-BD) and MIMO (-SISO / -2T2R) do appear, because a duplexer and a second RF chain are hardware — omitting them would ship the wrong unit.

Every trunking segment begins with an explicit letter (form, standard, B for band, P for power, C for channels), so position carries no meaning and a model cannot be misread. Multi-band cellular models list full 3GPP band codes (n28, B3, W8 …) rather than a shorthand, because procurement has to confirm the exact bands — and the band code already states the generation, so cellular models carry neither a standard code nor a power figure. Fibre systems add a unit role (-MU master / -RU remote) because the two are different units.

Models already covered by a third-party certificate keep their certified names — renaming them would break the certificate. A full one-page reference covering every code is supplied with the quotation on request.

Tell us the requirement, not the model

Send the band, power tier, bandwidth type, coupling form, channel count and project timeline. If certification is required for your tender, say so — we will tell you what is realistic rather than quoting a lead time we cannot meet.

Full datasheets for every model are available on request.
