Privacy Policy
How we handle data on this website — what we collect, what we do not, and how to reach us.
Written to match how this site actually behaves — self-hosted analytics, no cookies, no Google Analytics.
1. Who we are
Kingtone Solutions Co., Ltd. (“Kingtone”, “we”, “us”) is a manufacturer of two-way radio equipment, passive RF components and private-network systems, established in 2006 and headquartered in Quanzhou, Fujian, China. This policy describes how this website — www.kingtonesolutions.com — handles data.
If you submit an enquiry, the business contact for that enquiry is Kingtone Solutions Co., Ltd. Contact details are listed in section 9.
2. What we collect
We collect only what you actively provide, plus anonymous usage statistics:
- Enquiry information. When you submit a form, we collect the name, phone number, and optionally company, email, city and message you provide. This is used solely to answer your enquiry.
- Usage statistics. Page views, visited pages, referrer (the site that linked to us) and campaign parameters such as UTM values. See section 3 for what this means in practice.
- Server logs. Provided by our CDN, these record IP address, timestamp, requested URL and user agent for security and troubleshooting.
We do not knowingly collect special-category personal data (health, biometrics, political opinions, religion, sexual orientation, or trade-union membership), and we do not collect data from children.
3. Analytics: self-hosted, no cookies
Website usage is measured with Umami, an open-source analytics package that we host on our own infrastructure. Its collection endpoint is served from our own domain (/umami/), so no analytics request reaches a third party.
What this means concretely:
- No cookies are set. Umami is cookieless by design, so there is no consent banner and no cookie file on your device.
- No personal identifiers are collected. No advertising ID, no IP-derived profile, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting. IP addresses are truncated before storage.
- Nothing is shared or sold. Usage data stays on servers we control.
- Data retention is unlimited and under our control, and we review it to keep only what we need for aggregate reporting.
The spectrum database at /spectrum/ uses the same analytics instance. In addition to page views, it records which band or market a visitor was looking at and whether they followed a link from the spectrum database to our product or solution pages. These are aggregate interaction events — they contain no information identifying you.
5. Other third parties
The site relies on the following external services, each of which receives data only as a consequence of you loading the page:
- Cloudflare — content delivery network and hosting for this site, including the reverse proxy that forwards analytics events to our own server. Cloudflare processes request metadata (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver the site and to mitigate abuse.
- Google Maps — the map on our contact page is embedded from Google. Loading it causes your browser to contact Google, which will process your IP address and user agent under its own privacy terms.
- Google Fonts may be used for some typography on this site; if so, loading it also contacts Google.
We do not embed third-party advertising pixels, social-media pixels, or remarketing tags from other networks.
6. How we use data
- To respond to enquiries and prepare quotations, demonstrations and technical proposals.
- To understand which pages and products are useful, so we can improve the site and our product information.
- To measure the effectiveness of our advertising, in aggregate.
- To maintain the security and availability of the site.
- To comply with legal obligations.
7. Legal bases (GDPR) and how to opt out
Where GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract / legitimate interest for handling enquiry information and replying to you.
- Legitimate interest for cookieless, non-personalised usage statistics, which we use to improve the site.
- Consent where required, for advertising cookies and for processing personal data through Google advertising products.
Because our own analytics set no cookies and collect no personal identifiers, there is nothing to opt out of for that part. If you would like the usage statistics for your visit removed, or you wish to object to our use of enquiry data for any other purpose, contact us at the address in section 9 and we will action it.
8. Retention, sharing and international transfers
Enquiry information is retained for as long as needed to serve the commercial relationship and to meet statutory record-keeping requirements, and is then deleted or anonymised. Aggregated usage statistics are retained on our own servers and reviewed periodically; they contain no personal identifiers.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share enquiry information with third parties for their own marketing. We share it only where a service provider acts on our instructions (for example, hosting), or where required by law.
Some of the services listed in section 5 are operated outside the European Economic Area. Where information is transferred to a jurisdiction without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
