n78 Private 5G Network
n78 (3300-3800 MHz) is the workhorse 5G NR band and where operator spectrum holdings are concentrated. This page gives the holdings we hold in our own spectrum database, the equipment routes we supply, and the tools that take you from "band selected" to "coverage delivered".
The facts for this band
Every figure below can be checked - holdings from our own spectrum database, radio parameters from the model datasheets.
3300-3800 MHz, no separate uplink (TDD)
25 markets, 72 operators, 78 holding records
Germany: Deutsche Telekom 143 MHz, Vodafone 133 MHz

Private 5G NR repeaters across n1/n3/n7/n8/n28/n41/n78, SISO / 2T2R / 4T4R MIMO, in off-air, fibre, BTS-coupled and tunnel forms
Spectrum and holdings
Whether a band is usable depends on who holds spectrum locally - check it below.
Equipment and models
The equipment is configured per project; parameters, certification status and lead time are confirmed per project.
Any of the 13 tiers from +10 to +50 dBm, configured per order; the maximum output is confirmed against the destination market limits
Selectable configurations and model numbers by our naming rules (form, standard, band, power tier, bandwidth, channels) - not off-the-shelf stock
Parameters, certification status and lead time are confirmed per project
Seven dimensions you can customise per order
Our site-wide customisation scope across every product line. Specific parameters still follow each datasheet; this section answers which dimensions can be changed per order.
Power tiers
Every band can be customised in tiers of +10 / +13 / +17 / +20 / +23 / +27 / +30 / +33 / +37 / +40 / +43 / +46 / +50 dBm. The tiers shown on each page are common configurations; any other tier is configured per order.
Carriers and bandwidth
Frequency- or channel-selective units are typically customisable from 2 to 32 carriers or subbands, and the working bandwidth can also be customised.
Filter characteristics
Developed to the 3GPP standard definitions; customisation is available for special requirements.
Power supply
Power supply can be customised to national standards - state the destination market at order time.
Enclosures and mounting
Outdoor: sheet-metal waterproof or die-cast aluminium enclosures, pole-mount or wall-mount. Indoor: standard 19-inch rack, extruded aluminium, or engineering-plastic enclosures. Outdoor enclosures can also be used indoors. Common ingress ratings: IP35 / IP40 / IP55 / IP65.
Operating temperature
Designed to industrial-grade temperature ratings as standard; customisation is available for special requirements.
Explosion-proof
Explosion-proof design can be provided to local technical requirements.
The tools and the next step
Selection runs in three steps - channel, coverage, co-siting - and these three tools match them.
Get an n78 configuration
Tell us the country, the coverage target, the bandwidth need and whether you already hold n78 spectrum. We will return selectable configurations and certification status by our naming rules, and say plainly which parameters are confirmed per project.
- Selectable configurations and model numbers, by our naming rules
- Certification status for the band in question
- A first-pass feasibility check: link budget and intermodulation
- How comparable projects were delivered and accepted
Frequently asked questions
The questions we hear most about selecting and deploying n78, answered from the same data as the rest of this page.
What is the n78 band?
n78 is the 3GPP 5G NR TDD band for 3300-3800 MHz. Uplink and downlink share the same range on a time-division basis, and it is the main NR band behind worldwide 3.5 GHz assignments.
Who holds n78 spectrum?
Our spectrum database lists 78 n78 holding records across 25 markets and 72 operators; the largest single holdings are Deutsche Telekom at 143 MHz and Vodafone at 133 MHz in Germany. The database cross-queries by country and operator.
Do you have catalogue models for n78?
There is no dedicated catalogue model. Private 5G NR repeaters cover n1-n78 in SISO / 2T2R / 4T4R MIMO and in off-air, fibre, BTS-coupled and tunnel forms, configured per project; parameters, certification status and lead time are confirmed per project.
Which tools help plan an n78 deployment?
Three steps: the EARFCN calculator fixes frequency and channel number, the link budget sizes the coverage radius, and the intermodulation check screens products against co-sited low bands. All three tools are free to use in section 04 of this page.
