Services & Support
From site survey to managed O&M — a system delivered once, running for a decade. We write the project scope clearly, so owners understand it and contractors can work with it.
Scope split written into the contract
Six stages from enquiry to operation
Every stage produces a deliverable, not just a conversation
Pre-sales consulting & design
We start from requirements: coverage area, department grouping, existing network and budget range. You get architecture options and a preliminary BOM — not a blind quotation.
Site survey & layout planning
On-site measurement of structure, obstruction and existing signal levels; output of antenna mounting points, repeater siting and zoning. Survey records issued on the spot.
Frequency licensing & system design
Assistance with radio frequency licences and station approval; frequency planning, interference coordination and link budget, resulting in constructible drawings and a configuration list.
Supply, installation & commissioning
Own-brand equipment supplied direct, with no middle layer. Installed to drawing, including antenna and feeder works, VSWR and insertion-loss testing.
Acceptance & handover documents
Tested item by item against acceptance metrics and archived: as-built drawings, test reports, equipment list, operating manual and training records.
Managed O&M & annual maintenance
After handover the system enters its operating phase: preventive maintenance, scheduled inspection, fault response and spare-parts supply — optionally under an annual maintenance contract.
Full-chain service, from design to operation
Organised by project stage — each item maps to a deliverable

How the scope is split: what we do, what the GC does
The question every contractor and integrator asks first — clear interfaces make smooth collaboration
KINGTONE provides
- Own-brand equipment supply and warranty
- Frequency planning, link budget and system design
- Factory technical support, commissioning guidance and handover
- Operating procedures and maintenance training
- Spare-parts supply and factory repair
GC / integrator provides
- ELV general contracting and on-site construction management
- Containment, cable tray, comms room and equipment-room works
- Interlock and retrofit with fire, security and access-control systems
- Client-side coordination and acceptance organisation
- Site management for the duration of the project
Schedule, scope, licensing and acceptance
The questions owners and contractors raise most often before a project starts
How long does a radio coverage project take?
It depends on scale and site conditions. In-building coverage for a single building usually completes within a few weeks including survey, design and commissioning. Multi-building projects requiring fibre runs or frequency licensing are staged. We issue a phased implementation plan after the survey rather than one blanket completion date.
Can we install the system ourselves, or must it be fully outsourced?
Both work. If the client or the general contractor has a construction crew, we supply equipment, technical support and commissioning guidance while the GC manages the site. If a turnkey delivery is preferred, we execute it as the system engineering general contractor. The scope split is written into the contract so there is no argument at the interface.
Does the client have to apply for the frequency licence?
The radio frequency licence and station approval are applied for by the operating entity, but we assist: providing model-approval information, drafting the frequency requirement statement and supporting the technical documentation. Many everyday office and production dispatch handhelds operate on licence-exempt public bands and need no separate approval.
How are faults handled during the warranty period?
Response time is graded by contract. The usual approach: remote triage first, resolving anything the NMS can locate remotely; on-site attendance is scheduled within the agreed time if needed. Spare parts are replaced free of charge within warranty and supplied at list price afterwards. The exact timelines go into the service agreement rather than resting on verbal promises.
What documents are needed for acceptance?
A complete set by project convention: as-built drawings including antenna points and cable routing, coverage field-strength test records, VSWR and insertion-loss test reports, equipment list with serial numbers, operating manual and training attendance records. These are also the basis for final acceptance, settlement and O&M handover.
A project to deliver? Let's start with the scope
Tell us the site conditions, building scale and preferred delivery model (turnkey or alongside your contractor), and we will come back with a staged implementation plan and a recommended scope split. Integrators and system contractors are welcome to discuss channel cooperation.
